Weekend Wrap Up

For being the longest weekend of the year, it sure is going by quickly! Saturday morning we woke up very early to go to the Adirondack's for Alex's last x-country race of the season. I took the photo above right before we left. (Alex had to be on the bus at 6:30am, but we didn't leave until 7:30)

Right as we arrived, the rain started. But it surprisingly cleared up again for the actual race. Which was nice for the kids. The course was pretty muddy though.

Eric had an excellent run, he finished first in the "Fred-Astaire-Singing-in-the-Rain" division.

Alex had a great race too. He had his best race of the season and finished 8th for his team. 39th overall. And his team won the overall meet. It was a good day! He has decided to continue with x-country next year in High School. And he's very much looking forward to the Spring Track season to begin. (In the meantime, he's trying out for basketball... try-outs start Monday!)

And last night was Halloween. The weather was perfect for Halloween. It wasn't terribly cold or rainy. Just an occasional rain drop with a slight breeze. Alex declared he was officially done with trick-or-treating and he stayed to help pass out candy to the masses. (We had a total of 58 trick-or-treaters this year.)

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! I can't believe it's November already. Where has the year gone?!
